Driving with intelligent vehicles. Driving behaviour with ACC and the acceptance by individual drivers
conference paper
This paper presents an overview of the work of a PhD project performed within the research programme "Technology Assessment Automatic Vehicle Guidance" concerning individual driver behaviour and acceptance of Adaptive Cruise Control [1]. It describes and discusses the results of a questionnaire study and two experimental driving simulator studies.
It is conlcuded that under certain conditions and limitations Adaptive Cruise Control is a promising technology in traffic.
