This paper describes the Instrumented Car for Computer Aided Driving (ICACAD) and how it is used for conducting behavioural research in traffic. Its primary aim was to investigate the effects of telematics applications on driver performance, which is important for making such applications a success. How-ever, the general set-up of ICACAD makes it suitable for other types of experi-ments possible as well.
