EMINENT (Early Market Introduction of New ENergy Technologies) project was launched by DG TREN in 2003. It was completed in 2005 and the European Commission considered it to be very successful. The Second Project - EMINENT 2 - started in 2006, after successfully passing demanding EC evaluation, selection and contract negotiation procedures. The main objective of the project is to identify and accelerate introduction and implementation of leading edge European energy and environmental technology into the market place in Europe and worldwide.
