Evaluation of lifting-advisor software optimizing the aplicability of the revised niosh-equation

A knowledge based system "lifting-ADVISOR" is developed for health and safety practitioners to analyse manual lifting based on the revised NIOSH-equation. Furthermore a system to generate ideas for improvement was developed. Based on the specific results of the NIOSH-analysis, the system searches for those improvements which best fit the specific problem(s) to be solved. This system is evaluated. All 12 subjects, who worked with "lifting-ADVISOR", would use the system in future and judged the menus, the manual and the option to generate a report fair and good.
