The reciprocal measurement of mechanical-acoustical transfer functions

article
The reciprocity relations for mechanical-acoustical systems are treated. Special attention is given to the conditions that must be satisfied. The possible advantages of reciprocal measurements are discussed. Especially if the mechanical source has six degrees of freedom, which is the general case, the advantages are obvious. Some practical applications are outlined.
