Light-chain typing of immunoglobulins synthesized in vitro by means of immunoselection and autoradiography
article
A method combining immunoselection and autoradiography is described. This method was used to investigate the immunoglobulins synthesized in cultures of bone marrow from patients with a paraproteinaemia and cultures of 7 other tissues from different sources. The method permits the separate detection and characterization of immunoglobulins according to their light-chain type and requires only very small quantities of material. The information obtained is essentially qualitative, but under strict standard conditions a semi-quantitative evaluation is possible. © 1973.
