Serial transplantation of canine lymphocytic leukaemia
article
A canine lymphocytic leukaemia was successfully serially transplanted on three occasions by inoculation of canine foetuses in utero. Sixteen out of 17 dogs injected developed leukaemia. Four puppies injected at 7 days old also developed leukaemia. Peripheral w.b.c. counts reached up to 280,000 cells/mm3 and the main pathological lesions were similar to those occurring in lymphatic leukaemia in man. © 1971.
