Thrombophilia and hereditary increase in plasminogen activator inhibitor (PAI-1)

The conclusion is that despite extensive search, we could not confirm a familial thrombophilia due to an inherited increase, even temporarily, in PAI. The theoretic basis and the data in the literature give little support for more thorough investigation in this direction.
