Lowering detection limits in plasma-desorption mass spectrometry by partial target shielding
article
A simple method of improving signal-to-noise ratios in plasma-desorption mass spectrometry of femtomole quantities is described. Background reduction is achieved by effectively shielding of the non-sample area. It is shown that detection limits can be improved by a factor of 4. Copyright © 1990 Heyden & Son Limited
