Responsible Business in the Context of Industry 5.0, Workplace Innovation, and Social Innovation
bookPart
Responsible business implies that employees can participate in achieving the organisation’s goals through meaningful, ‘human-centric’ work, which is related to regulatory capacity and job autonomy, mature employment relationships, and employee involvement. Companies wishing to behave ethically and responsibly operate in a turbulent environment and must meet economic and social goals. Companies will only change their business models into ‘greener’ ones when they are sure of their profitability. Governments should support businesses with the proper facilitation and policies. Subsequently, companies should embrace this support, which includes providing meaningful jobs to their employees. This chapter discusses how to deal with such situations from three interconnected angles.
