Towards Geospatial Decision Support for Dismounted Cold-Weather Operations

conference paper
For missions in extreme cold environments, soldiers face challenges in maintaining performance. Thermophysical models predict how soldiers will perform, but typically lack spatial and temporal variability. We present geospatial computation methods of these models, enabling terrain- and weather aware performance assessments in extreme environments. This work supports mission planning by integrating geospatial and biophysical modeling.
