With the growing shortage of healthcare professionals, retaining new healthcare workers is crucial. In practice, there are many different initiatives aimed at successful onboarding and sustainable employment of these workers. However, it often remains unclear to what extent these measures are effective. Also, specific reasons for employees dropping out of work are often only known to employers retrospectively, when it is too late to look for (tailor-made) solutions together with the employee.
