HiTDOC - the first EDF Technological Challenge, addressing technologies for the detection of landmines and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) - Poster -

conference paper
The detection of Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) and landmines remains a critical capability for ensuring the safety and survivability of armed forces. The European Defence Fund (EDF)-funded HiTDOC project (2024–2027) addresses this challenge by developing standardized methodologies and test procedures to objectively evaluate and compare Counter-IED (C-IED) systems. HiTDOC conducts annual Hidden Threat Detection Challenges, providing a platform for benchmarking advanced sensor technologies under realistic threat targets and military relevant scenarios.
