The detection of cytoplasmic immunoglobulins by immunofluorescence: improvements in techniques and standardization procedures
article
Improvements in the technique of cytoplasmic immunofluorescence on cytocentrifuge slides obtained from cells in suspension are described. Refinement and standardization of the technique enabled us to obtain representative samples from the tissues under study and to determine the relative distribution of cells containing different heavy and light chain Ig determinants, as well as the absolute numbers of Ig-containing cells. The reproducibility of the results was highly satisfactory.
