Monitoring results of the Groningen - CSHPSS

In Groningen, the Netherlands, a group of 96 solar houses is connected to a central seasonal heat storage reservoir in the subsoil. This Central Solar Heating Plant with Seasonal Storage (CSHPSS) has been in full operation since the end of 1984. The objective of the project was to gather practical experience with the actual realisation and operation of such a system, and to gather data for model validation. A detailed monitoring programme has been carried out over a period of more than two years. This paper describes the monitoring programme and gives the monitoring results.
