SAFE: Advancing Life Cycle Management of Hydraulic Structures Through Satellite Technology and Artificial Intelligence

conference paper
Structural monitoring is crucial for ensuring the safety and longevity of hydraulic structures such as dikes, locks, and storm surge barriers. These structures face increasing threats due to climate change, including rising sea levels, extreme weather events, and varying environmental conditions. The SAFE project investigates the use of satellite technology for structural monitoring and presents an innovative approach that integrates traditional soil composition data with advanced satellite observations and Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques.
