De emissiemeetmethode voor treinen
article
The International Standard ISO 3095 specifies a method for the measurement of noise emitted by rallbound vehicles. In 1976 a proposal for a Netherlands method was based on this Standard. Since then some experience has been obtained in practice, especially for trains on straight tracks passing with constant speed. The results give indications about the influence of different track constructions, acoustical environments, wheel thread smoothness and rail smoothness. For type tests it must be concluded that the uncertainty within the method is far too large. Furthermore, the results of type tests show little correlation with the acoustical quality of trains in normal practice. Ideas for improvement of the method are presented. The present method seems acceptable for monitoring tests.
