The Bezold-Brücke Phenomenom

article
The above-mentioned effect comprises the yellowing of red and yellow-green and the appearing more blue of blue-green and violet. Yellow, green and blue are invariant colours. This effect can be explained from the saturation of the nervous paths through which the impulses of the r ed, green and violet receptors (YoungHelmholtz's theory) are conducted to lhe higher centres, taking into considcraton the high colour strength of the violet system. © 1963 S.
