A city distribution impact assessment framework
conference paper
The number of initiatives in the field of sustainable urban freight transport grows rapidly. Most of the measures that have been tested suffer from a lack of systematic evaluation and long term adoptions often fail, because not all stakeholders were taken into account (Macharis&Melo, 2010). Within Straightsol (Strategies and measures for smarter urban freight solutions, EC FP7), a systematic impact assessment framework dedicated to urban and interurban freight transportation has been developed. It incorporates the city distribution actors and their objectives as the primary focus complemented with a Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis, Social Cost Benefit Analysis and Business Model Analysis
