5G Applications in the Transport Vertical

Road transport is an important industry sector in Europe, in terms of jobs, market size and international trade. Moreover, it is vital from economic, social and environmental perspectives, e.g. for safer, greener and more resilient services for people and goods, taking into account higher level connected and automated vehicles. The poster targets 5G applications in this vertical industry especially for improving utility, efficient processes, and sustainability. It defines specific vertical use cases and scenarios by using the 5G wireless mobile telecommunications technology. In addition, it investigates the technological validation of the trials of the transport industry and addresses business opportunities for future 5G applications.
