Optimised Sizing and Dispatch of Hybrid Power Plants: IJmuiden Ver Gamma as a Case Study

report
With the increasing penetration of renewable energy technologies, the challenge of matching
supply and demand, and the ambitious targets for developing offshore wind, focusing on the
system integration of offshore wind energy has become a priority. Hybrid Power Plants (HPPs)
play a critical role in this, as they allow a more consistent and reliable power supply through a combination of renewable energy generation, storage, and conversion. This report investigates the potential of integrating additional energy technologies, both offshore and onshore, to complement offshore wind developments, inspired by the IJmuiden Ver Gamma tender.
