TIADE final report

Within the TIADE project, ’Turbine Improvements for ADditional Energy’, which ran from Jan uary 2020 to November 2024, innovative wind turbine blade improvements such as blade add ons have been developed and validated to boost the performance of offshore wind turbines. The innovations developed in the project have been tested in the field on a dedicated full scale state of the art R&D 3.8 MW wind turbine. To measure and prove the additional perfor mance, innovative measurement techniques have been developed and applied. A worldwide pandemic and the wind industry facing large technological and financial problems made the execution of a large scale experimental program a challenging task. Despite all these setbacks, the consortium managed to successfully bring the project to an end, leading to impressive results
