The determination of nitrogen dioxide in air after absorption in a modified alkaline solution

article
The Jacobs-Hochheiser method for the determination of NO2 was improved by the addition of R-salt (0.2 g l-1) and triethanol amine (1 g l-1) to the 0.1 N NaOH used as the sampling solution. These compounds were selected from a group of compounds containing reactive H-atoms in the molecules. Sampling efficiency was about 95 per cent and the stoichiometric factor about 90 per cent. © 1971.
