Alkaline and enzymatic hydrolysis of conjugated bile acids

Determination of bile acids has been studied. Comparison between alkaline hydrolysis and enzymatic hydrolysis was made and recovery experiments for both methods have been performed. Quantitative recovery of bile acids from their taurine and glycine derivatives was obtained using the enzymatic hydrolysis.
