Application of a Kalman filter to blast loaded structures

The Kalman filter has been applied to determine the compressive strength of a concrete material model based on experimental measurements and finite element simulations of square reinforced concrete plates loaded by a blast pressure. This inverse modeling technique is reviewed and the results are discussed.
