Verification of the Wind@Sea LiDAR system WLS866-0184 at the EWTW test site near meteorological mast MM6. Period: 19 December 2023 to 22 February 2024

As part of the Wind@Sea project a Vaisala WindCube v2.1 with serial number WLS866-0184 was installed at the EWTW test site near meteorological mast MM6 on 18 December 2023. The LiDAR was validated before using it for wind field measurements at offshore platform Lichteiland Goeree. The official measurement campaign started on 19 December 2023 15:00 UTC and lasted until 22 February 2024 00:00 UTC, covering 64 days. The comparison of the LiDAR against meteorological mast MM6 is performed for 3 measurement heights, 42 m, 81 m and 118 m.
