Validating a Workflow Design Space Exploration methodology

report
When designing a system, one would like to have early information on how well a system design addresses stakeholder needs and concerns. Design Space Exploration (DSE) involves exploring the design space for system design candidates, including variants of specific system design aspects. For this, quantitative information on various system aspects is desired. This is preferable done in early phases of development, e.g., in the architecture phase. Papillon 2022 developed a workflow DSE methodology called WorkflowDSE. Also, it implemented the methodology in a prototype tool, the WorkflowDSE tool, using an add-on for the MBSE solution Capella. This report investigates the validation of the WorkflowDSE methodology. It answers the following questions:
1. How is the DSE methodology developed in Papillon 2022 perceived by its potential users, i.e., system architects?
2. Is this DSE methodology suitable to address real-world industrial cases, e.g., in terms of expressiveness?
