Explosion vulnerability assessment for city infrastructure

conference paper
This paper deals with the development of a methodology to assess the vulnerability of a city area to an explosion accident. The city area, ranging from a district including several blocks to a single building, is defined as a system of objects with specific functions, inter relations and inter dependencies with the "outer world". The consequences for the system of an explosion are quantified by damage prediction of the various objects , the effect on the object's functionality, and the impact on the "outer world" interdependencies.
