Injury assessment for blast effects
conference paper
TNO studies a broad scope of hazardous conditions that personnel can be exposed to, together with the criteria that are needed for quantitative consequence assessment. Models have been developed to quantify the blast, fragment and debris effects and their consequences in terms of injury levels. The various models have been made suitable for integration in an overall methodology. This paper presents the injury assessment method for blast effects, with a focus on the method for whole body displacement, the so called tertiary blast effects.
