Sodium di-n-propylacetate: estimation of effective serum levels

article
Clinical results of adding sodium di-n-propylacetate to existing insufficient antiepileptic medications were studied at two half yearly intervals. Serum levels of di-n-propylacetate were determined at representative moments. In the first study it was thought that average serum levels should be 82 mg/I in order to achieve a therapeutic effect. From the second study, however, it became clear that data were obscured by a more fundamental difference between the improved and not improved group.
