Basis of Design document for cl-HPAD of e-Methanl

The scope of the project is the process design and basic engineering of an advanced distillation unit that reduces the energy consumption of traditional distillation for the separation of methanol and water. This unit, called cl-HPAD, will follow the principle of heat integrated distillation column, where the pressure of rectifying section is elevated and heat is transferred from the rectifier to the stripping section. The basic engineering package consists of: preliminary mass & energy balance, process flow diagram (PFD), preliminary sized equipment list, control and safeguarding philosophies, P&ID, HAZOP, equipment layout, mechanical design and 3D model of cl-HPAD column.
