Low-noise φ-OTDR for Distributed Acoustic Sensing of a Survey Well

A low-noise φ-OTDR sensor is implemented as a distributed acoustic sensing system for monitoring a survey well in Cottessen. The characterization shows strain noise levels below 1 nϵ for a 10 kHz sampling rate.
