In this presentation, I am looking at digitalisation and its impacts from the viewpoint of surveys. Here you see what two surveys, that have been monitoring changing practices a long time, gives as view of the new workplace. As you can see, computerisation of work is a quite clear trend. Industry 4.0 (computers + machines) is however not such a clear trend. Digitalisation is a mixed development at the workplace level. Important to understand is that we are seeing the change from the individual worker. Most research is focused on the individual. This research is supported by FWO grant S006018N
