Application of modern software engineering principles for continuous quality (CQ) management in research
conference paper
Transparency of changes, automated testing of new developments against documented criteria, combination of developments from different sources and automated publication of validated results are key aspects of modern collaborative software engineering. Various infrastructures, guidelines and tools are available for continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) of software. The same principles could be used to design infrastructures for continuous quality (CQ) management in research and the implementation of the Open Science paradigm. In this work we provide a vision of how such a CQ workflow could look like to make scientific research traceable and reproducible. © 2019 International Measurement Confederation (IMEKO).
