The main objective of the present study is to assess the added value of the Dutch electricity sector to the Dutch economy. More specifically, it includes the following elements: <ul> <li>A presentation and analysis of the main statistical facts, figures and trends of the Dutch electricity sector over the period 2000-2012; <li>An assessment of the contribution of the Dutch electricity sector to the Dutch economy; <li>An analysis of the factors determining the competitiveness of the Dutch electricity sector; <li>An assessment of the contribution of the Dutch electricity sector to the growth potential and competitiveness of the Dutch economy; <li>An analysis of the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT) of the Dutch electricity sector.</li> </ul> <br/>
