Bicycle vehicle trajectory prediction and collision risk estimation for advanced driver assistance systems

report
Safer road transportation gains increasing attention due to the social and economic impact of road traffic accidents. The long-term goal of the project is the development of an invehicle system for real-time cyclist protection. The system architecture of the cyclist protection system is outlined and design potentials and risks are discussed. Particular emphasis has been placed on the design and implementation of bicycle trajectory prediction methods with various input data. The trajectory prediction would be integrated with the state and collision risk prediction at a later development stage.
