Spatial distribution of Particulate Matter concentration in classrooms
conference paper
The spatial distribution of Particulate Matter has been studied during class time in a naturally ventilated classroom. Measurements were taken between the pupils at breathing height, and at the side and front between 0,15 and 4 m height. With regard to PM1, PM2,5 and PM10, hardly any differences were observed in concentration, between the measurement positions. Near the window there was a slight increase in PM1 and decrease in PM10 due to infiltration of ambient air. The indoor/outdoor ratio of PM10 was strongly dependent on the presence of school children.
