Slip casting parameters for commercial Si3N4 powders

Properties of aqueous slips of silicon nitride were studied on two types of commercially available powders. Results are given of measurements of ΞΆ-potential, critical coagulation coefficient and viscosity as a function of pH, concentration of deflocculant and solid-liquid ratio. Optimized slip casting conditions are given.
