Integral design workshop for sustainable comfort systems to improve ventilation concepts

conference paper
Integral design shows high promises to reduce failure costs and to improve design quality. In the ongoing workshop series, in which already over 200 professionals from the Royal Institute of Dutch Architects (BNA) and the Dutch Association of Consulting Engineers (ONRI) participated, integral design methodology in the domain of sustainable comfort systems is currently developed and evaluated. The application of sustainable energy in the built environment is stimulated through morphological approach that enhances creation of new solutions for sustainable concepts. The results of the 'Integral Design Methodology' workshop series were implemented in a Master thesis on school ventilation and presented in this paper.
