Matching marine corrosion: new accelerated test gives good correlation with outdoor exposure

An extensive study of the corrosion resistance of a large number and a large variety of coatings systems for steel protection has been carried out. With these, three types of accelerated tests have been correlated with observerations from two years of outdoor exposure in a marine environment, and a good correlation was found for a newly developed method.
