Wind loads on solar energy systems, mounted on flat roofs
conference paper
Wind loads on solar energy systems are not covered by current wind loading standards. This paper describes results of a parametric study into the wind loads on solar energy systems, which are placed on flat roofs. Wind tunnel measurements have been carried out on a number of configurations. The results have been applied into the first prestandard for integration of solar energy in buildings, the Dutch prestandard NVN 7250, and in BRE digest 489.
