Sustainability through enhanced use of timber

The Dutch Government promotes the use of wood in the Netherlands. Several action plans have been launched during the last years in order to increase the application of the sustainable material wood. The effects of the restriction in the use of biocides led to a number of national efforts in order to develop additional protecting measures. The development of these measures is still under way.
