Motivators and barriers for interventions at work

conference paper
Ergonomical interventions are not automatically adapted by workers or implemented at construction sites. In order to be more successful with implementations in this sector, one must start with its specific characteristics. In this paper these are briefly described. Then several ergonomic interventions are analysed in order to find motivators and barriers for implementation. Potentialities to overcome the barriers are discussed as well. We end with several general suggestions for more successful implementation of interventions in the building and construction industry.
