The Dutch Musculoskeletal Questionnaire (DMQ) is the subject of the 5th chapter of the Handbook of human factors and ergonomics methods. The DMQ allows ergonomists and occupational health professionals to measure work-related musculoskeletal risk factors and symptoms in worker populations in a quick yet standardized way. There are a standard version, a short version and an extended version. The questionnaire includes the following sections: background variables, tasks, musculoskeletal workload, work pace and psychosocial working conditions, health, lifestyle, perceived bottlenecks and ideas for improvements. This chapter gives background information (including an internetlink to download the DMQ), information about application and procedure.
