Encephalitis in Austria. IV - Excretion of virus by milk of the experimentally infected goat

article
Subcutaneous infection of a goat with the Graz-strain of the virus of Russian spring-summer encephalitis produced viraemia for five days. In the milk of the goat virus could be demonstrated from the third up to the eighth day after infection. The consumption of unboiled goat milk as possible source of infection for man is discussed. © 1955 Springer-Verlag.
