Introduction on CO2 geological storage: classification of storage options
article
Following the capture and transport processes, CO2 is stored in geological formations. This paper reviews the various underground storage options: depleted oil and gas reservoirs, deep saline aquifers, deep seated coal beds, caverns and mines. Each option is detailed in a separated paper following this introduction. Copyright © 2005, Institut français du pétrole.
