An Eigencurrent Approach for the Analysis of Leaky Coaxial Cables

An eigencurrent approach for the analysis of Leaky Coaxial Cables (LCX) is developed in this work. It is based on the determination of approximate eigenvalues and eigenfunctions of the integral operator of the scattering problem. Numerical results show that a CPU-time saving with respect to a full wave solution can be obtained with a very small loss of accuracy.
