Overview of geomechanical Diana applications in petroleym engineering
conference paper
An overview is given of geomechanical DIANA applications in Petroleum Engineering, comprising applications in the area of borehole stability, sand failure in wellbores, reservoir compaction, structural geology and storage of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) in rock cavems. The quality and versatility of the program combined with its unique organisational structure that allows transfer of short term proprietary user developments to the DIANA foundation for long term maintenance make it a strong business case in the oil industry.
