Current possibilities of masonry modelling
conference paper
This article presents possible applications of computational modelling of masonry structures. The examples address the problems of design rules and their relation with numerical models, the anal-ysis of existing (complex) structures subjected to new (complex) loading conditions and the safe-ty of existing old structures. The numerical models utilised in the analysis have been developed at Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands, and are implemented in a pilot version of DIANA 6.0.
