Evaluation of five sector projects in disminishing physical load
conference paper
Recently TNO has evaluated five sectoral projects about physical load and possible measurements in the Netherlands. It is the aim of this paper to discuss the effectiveness of our approach. The five projects were done in the building industry, the defense, the hairdressers branche, the homecare and the meat industry. For the evaluation a model of change was used (de Caluwe en Vermaak, 2001 ). The evaluation is done bij holding structured interviews with the five project managers. As results from the evaluation we experienced that we usually start with the diagnose fase. It would be better to gather more information about the idea of change by asking questions about the history, the context and the filosofy behind. We found that we have to pay more attention to the role of the different actors. As we look to our reports of the investigations we have seen that we jump from diagnosis to interventions. It would be better if we first pay attention to develope a changing strategy and an intervention plan. Using the model of change can help us to become more involved in the changing processes in the different sectors.
